What's that in the landscape?

As we traveled across Texas and Oklahoma we noticed a lot of wind turbines. Because there are always winds in some of these areas, this has become popular to convert the wind into energy. 

Ms. Kelli from R.A. Brown Ranch explained that the power company works with the land owners and sets up one of 3 ways to pay a land owner for participating. They can lease an area of land, set a number of turbines on the land or pay for the power they produce. Interestingly, the power company decides which way was the most profitable to pay the farmer.
